Never did i think i would fall for another boy band the same way i fell for the backstreet boys. But the boys from One Direction have stolen my heart. i am madly in love with all of them! I've caught the one direction infection.  Im so happy boy bands are rising back up. every little girl needs boy band posters in her room. i cant get enough of them. I was a fan of them when they were in x-factor, but aiden grimshaw had me distracted. haha i am now a full blown 1D fan.

Katniss Everdeen

Ever since i read the first book, i fell in love with this character. She is so empowering in her role as an intelligent, brave, and strong woman. I had my apprehensions when i first heard that a movie was being made. I had hopes that it will live up to the books like the harry potter movies did, but i feared it would be a lot like the Eragon movie adaptation, which didn't do the book justice. However, i was thrilled to see that it was an absolutely amazing movie. Jennifer lawrence has brought Katniss to life, and now serves as a positive role model to young girls, who are in need of a hero they can relate to. Katniss is up in the ranks of Hermione, from Harry Potter, and Elizabeth bennet, from pride and prejudice which are headstrong women that show the strength of the female power.

I also feel the message about standing up to the government is very relevant and insightful to our culture today.  I am completely obsessed. i never thought another book would have the same effect as the harry potter series or lord of the rings series had, but it has, the movie has only intensified it 10x more. I only wish that more people would take the time to read the books!
